We will organize the transportation
from Gdańsk to Hotel Podewils in Krąg.
The meeting point will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday (23.09.2008). We will meet you in the "PKP Gdańsk Główny" - the main railway station in Gdańsk (see photo). The meeting point will be near the main entrance. From there we will walk directly to the bus.

The XXVIII International School of Hydraulics will take place at the Podewils Castle in a small town of Krag, the largest 15th Century Knight's Castle in Pomerania.

Hotel Podewils Krąg

It is built on oak piles, like the buildings in Venice and is the only castle on water in Poland. Legend has it that the number of windows in the castle relates to the number of days in the week, the number of rooms to the number of weeks, the number of entrances to the number of months and the four towers represent the four seasons. It is an unusually picturesque building set in ornamental grounds and is counted among the most interesting and beautiful ancient buildings in Europe.

In the 19th century it was known as the Castle of Flowers. The close position of the hotel to the Castle Lake in the middle of the forest, away from the hubbub of the city, creates the ideal conditions for work, recreation and relaxation. The stylish interiors and the use of modern technological solutions link together tradition, modern facilities and convenience.
